I don't have any recordings to share this week - and that is okay! I spent a lot of time and mental energy last year on making sure I finished a track every week for Weekly Beats. I am enjoying spending more time on the musical activities that I set aside in favor of accomplishing that goal - like playing in my band, Coral Ghost, learning more about music theory and re-organizing my studio space. I have also been spending more time making music off of my computer, namely with the Polyend Tracker Mini that I bought last year.

As for this blog, I found a rhythm last year by recycling the posts that I made when I shared a track each week, so I will have to think of a new way to come up with content. When I went to post my sonic diary of 2024 for the Disquiet Junto on Lines, I came across a thread about a DIY social network originating out of that forum called izzzzi.net. It is a very basic platform where all posts are ephemeral and deleted after one day. Posts are also only visible to people who have mutually connected with another person through the izzzzi.net platform.

I do not know anyone on Lines in real life, but luckily a handful of people agreed to connect with me and I have been sharing a post on there each day. I saved those posts and they are informing this blog post. I am not copying and pasting, but grabbing a thought I shared there and incorporating it here. I have really enjoyed seeing the handful of posts each day from my mutual connections, so I am encouraged to keep posting and hopefully that continues to inform my writing here.
